About Us

The Family Friendly Film Festival was first launched in 2006 by Arts About Manchester. It is the only family oriented festival in Manchester and it promotes family interaction and experience of the arts.

The festival has grown steadily since 2006, with the number of events and participating venues increasing each year. It has also lead to the development of two side projects, the Family Friendly Film School, which is now in its second year, and the Film Club, a regular programme of screenings and activities that was launched in January 2008.

All of the Family Friendly Film projects are run on a not-for-profit basis and all events are either low cost or free in order to make them as accessible as possible to the families of Greater Manchester.
