The Crocodiles

The Manchester Museum

8 Aug 2010

Being new in town, Kai sets out to make some friends over the summer… not simply because he wants to, but also because his over-protective mother has warned him that if he doesn’t, she will enroll him in a special needs school. But Kai doesn’t see his wheelchair as a limitation, and soon the perfect candidates for friendship cross his path: a group of kids known as the Crocodiles.

The Crocodiles have everything a members-only group of friends could want: cool tree-house headquarters  and members who will stand up for each other under any circumstances. When Kai bails them out of a dangerous situation, the Crocodiles find themselves grateful but confused. How can Kai be a useful member in their lives of adventure? Everything changes when some thieves begin terrorizing the town, and Kai’s unique skills are needed to help the Crocodiles on their quest to catch them.

Exploring themes of understanding difference and finding the courage to accept help when you think standing alone is the only option, The Crocodiles is stylish, action-packed and full of humour and adventure. Based on a beloved German young-adult novel, this multi-award winning film is sure to thrill audiences of all ages.
